Constance Pearl (Woodward) Miller died peacefully on December 12, 2015 in Boscawen, NH. She was born on January 6, 1927 in Fitchburg, MA where she lived for 81 years before moving to New London, NH in 2008.  She was the daughter of Walter Woodward and Inez (Cox) Woodward. Her husband of 51 years, Ronald Miller, died in 1999. Her brother Donald Woodward and sister Louise Swift also predeceased her.

Connie was a 1944 graduate of Fitchburg High School, where she was Class Secretary. She worked for many years as a bank teller at Fitchburg Savings Bank and Family Federal Savings Bank. She was a life-long member of Rollstone Congregational Church where she sang in the choir for many years. She would regularly visit shut-ins from the church and cared deeply about the well being of others. She was a devoted and long-time volunteer at Burbank Hospital in Fitchburg and at Gardner State Hospital, where she mentored patients for many years.

Connie was a talented seamstress and often made clothes for her children when they were young. She had a gift for making people feel welcomed in her home any time and loved her friends and neighbors. Many friends loved her for her kindness and humor, and they enjoyed regular get-togethers for games and activities.

Connie was most proud of her family. She is survived by four daughters: Mary Lou McCrave of Andover, NH, Nancy Bedard of Shrewsbury, MA, Anne Boisvert of Phoenix, AZ, and Jane Miller of Ashburnham, MA; four grandchildren: Christopher Michaud of Richmond, VA, Kate Lewis of Northborough, MA, Craig Bedard of Northborough, MA, and James Cormier of Riverside, CA; two great-grandchildren: Sean Errington of Northborough, MA, and Parker Michaud of Richmond, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday December 18 at 11am in Forest Hill Cemetery, Fitchburg, MA. A reception for Connie's New Hampshire friends will be held at Hilltop Place, New London at a date and time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lake Sunapee region VNA & Hospice, 107 Newport Road, PO Box 2207, New London, NH, 03257 or to Rollstone Congregational Church, 199 Main Street, Fitchburg, MA, 01420.
