Fitchburg

William L. Sharos, 89 died Thursday January 23, at Health Alliance
Leominster Hospital.
He was born in Fitchburg June 4, 1924, the son of Louis and Roubine
(Kofopoulos) Sharos and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from
Fitchburg High School  in 1942 and Springfield College., and played
basketball in high school and college.  He was a Veteran of World War ll
and served in Europe and  Africa.  He was employed as an accountant at
the Watertown Arsenal for many years. He was a member of the D.A.V. and
enjoyed all sports. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox
Church.
William leaves  his his sister Joan Sharos, his brother Charles Sharos of
Ct. and his niece Maria Haritos  of Fitchburg. His brother  James died in
1944. His sisters Zmaritho Sharos died in 2010 and his sister Fotula Haritos
died in 1992.
Funeral services for William will be held on Tuesday January 28, at 11:00
A.M in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1419 Main St.  followed by
burial with military honors in Forest Hill Cemetery. A calling hour will be
from 10 to 11 A.M. in the church. boskfuneralhome.com
