William G. Gilbert, 76, Ashburnham resident of many years, died Monday
August 4, at the Baldwinville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after an
illness.

William was born in Leominster, October 31, 1937, son of Clifford and
Gladys (Appleby) Gilbert. He graduated from Fitchburg High School and
was employed as a mechanic  and supervisor for the town of Ashburnham
where he worked for 30 years. Working on cars was his favorite passtime
and the History Channel was his favorite Television program.

William leaves his wife of 50 years, Marilyn J. (Primus) Gilbert, his son  and
daughter-in-law William "Randy" Gilbert and Lisa of Westminster; his
daughter Wendy A. White of Ashburnham. He also leaves his brother
Clifford Gilbert of Ashburnham and his sister Joan Moulton of Gardner.
Two grandsons Zachary and Jeremy Gilbert and his grandaughter Taylor
Gilbert.

Funeral services and burial will be private. Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom
