Wesley J. "Wes" Walker, 89, died Tuesady September 24, at Sterling Vilage
after an illness.
Wes was born in Iverness, P.Q. Canada, June 14, 1924, the son of Edgar
and Hazel (Robinson) Walker. He came to Fitchburg in 1967 and worked as
an automotive mechanic for  Philbin Company and for the former Matthews
Chevolet. Automotive mechanics was his hobby as well as his livelyhood.
He also was a very talented and creative cook.
Wes leaves his son and daughter-in-law John E. and Gail Walker of Hatley,
Canada, daughter and son-in-law Kathryn Jones and Herman of Lawrence,
Kansas. Step daughters and husbands Gwendolyn Morrow and Brian of
Templeton, Ma. and Gloria Heign and John of Windham, Me.  Wes also
leaves his brother and sister-in-law Howard Walker and Mickey of
Lennoxville, Canada Eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Wes also leaves his companion of 10 years Avis Berry and her daughter
Ruth Berube who was  his loving caregiver.  
Wesley's wife of 19 years Margaret M. (Lowrey)  Walker died October 2,
1992. His first wife Christine McIver died in 2001.Eight  brothers and three
sisters predeceased him.
Funeral services for Wes will be held on Friday September 27, at 10:00 A.M.
in the Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom St. Burial will follow in Forest Hill
Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 9 to 10 A.M. Contributions may
be made to the Arthritis Foundation 29 Crefts St. Newton, Ma. 02158.
