Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother

Vellamo "Velma" (Luomala) Soubie, 90, died Friday February 20, at
Keystone Center in Leominster.
Velma was born in Westminster, August 1, 1924, the daughter of John and
Ida (Allikainen) Luomala  and lived in Fitchburg over forty years. She was a
devoted homemaker who's family was her life.She loved picture puzzles,
walking, music and gardening.
Velma leaves her son Donald Soubie in Maryland, her daughters and sons-
in-law Ann Douglas and George of Leominster and Brenda LeBlanc and
Arthur ofRindge, N.H.  She also leaves her sister Suzanne Bryce in So.
Carolina, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Velma's husband of 63 years, Theodore Soubie died in 2009, She was also
predeceased by her son Theodore Jr. in 2013. Her brothers Eero and
Frederick Luomala and her sisters Ena Angelopoulos and Anna  Bryce.
Funeral services and burial will be private. Contributions in her memory
may be made to a Veterans Association of choice.
