Thomas Payton, 73, passed away at home Saturday September 26, 2015 surrounded by his loving family after an illness. Tom was born in Rolling Fork, Mississippi,  October 9, 1941. He was employed at Bee Plastics for 20 years, and the Blood Farm in West Groton for 43 years. Tom loved going to Foxwoods and playing cards with this brothers.

Tom’s wife of 41 years Carol Ann Payton died May 18, 2013.  Tom is survived by his son John 
Stafford; his daughters, Gloria Payton, Brenda Payton-Myles and husband Michael,Tina Griffiths and husband Dennis, andBrenda Gates and husband Steven.
 

Tom also leaves his grandchildren Crystal, Thomas, Joseph, Matthew, Allyson, Whitney, Dracar, Emmanuel, Deandre, Travis, Payton, Paige and Javoy. His great grandchildren Jaylen, Briel and Madison.

Also his brothers Rodney, Ernie, Jack, Wilford, James; his nephewTyrone; sister-in-laws Carol and Rosie, and his Blood Farm Family.  He was predeceased by his parents Willie Mae and Jack Collins Sr.  and brothers Elvis, Larry, Huey, and Tyrone.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Friday, October 2 at 10:00 A.M. in the First Church of God and Christ, 82 Snow St.  BoskFuneral Home 85 Blossom St. is assisting the family.
