Sophia Gastalos
Executive Secretary, Burbank Hospital Volunteer

Sophia Gastalos, 80, fell asleep in the hands of our Lord at home, with all
her loving family and friends by her bedside.

Sophia was born in Fitchburg April 14, 1933, daughter of Charles and
Marika (Papapetrou) Gastalos and was a life long resident . She graduated
from Fitchburg High school in 1951. She was employed for 39 years at the
former Genetral Electric Co. and was executive secretary.

Sophia was an active, devout and lifelong member of Holy Trinity Greek
Orthodox Church and was a member of the Holy Trinity Ladies
Philoptochos Society. Sophia loved to attend church services and was a
loving church benefactor as she donated flowers in honor of the Virgin
Mary's feast day each year. May her memory be kept eternally in our hearts.

Sophia leaves nieces and nephews, namely, Hope Eleftheriou, Larry
Eleftheriou and wife Rebecca, Dean Eleftheriou and wife Elizabeth, Peter
Eleftheriou and wife Jan, Marika Pournaras and husband Arthur, George
Eleftheriou and wife Brenda, Andrea Eleftheriou and companion Julio,
Despene Eleftheriou and companion David, Charlie Gastalos, Mary
Querella and husband Mike. She also leaves her sister-in-law Priscilla
Gastalos, many grand nieces and grand nephews and a wide circle of
friends.
She was predeceased by her sister Harriet Eleftheriou, 2011, her brothers
Arthur Gastalos, 2011 and Peter Gastalos, 1932 and brother-in-law William
Eleftheriou, 1975.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation time at the Holy
Trinity Greek Orthodox Church 1419 Main St. on Monday June 3,  from 9 to 11 A.M. followed bya funeral service at 11:00 A.M. in the Church. Burial will follow in Forest Hill
Cemetery. Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom St. is assisting the family.
