 Ruth Lillian Salmi, 87, died Saturday July 21, at the Highlands Long Term Care Center after an illness. Ruth was born in Worcester, daughter of  George and Sandra (Pajula) Salmi and had lived in Fitchburg over 30 years. She was employed as a bookkeeper in a sporting goods company. Ruth was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church.
Ruth leaves her companion and primary care giver of over 30 years Lauri Rautio. Her brother Leo Salmi predeceased her.
A funeral service for Ruth will be held on Saturday July 28 at 11:00 A.M. in the Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom St. preceded by a visitation period from 10 to 11 A.M. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery
