Ruth A. Moran, 70 

Ruth Anne (Anderson) Moran, 70, was called home to her heavenly Father on Saturday September 3.  Ruth was born in Fitchburg, August 17, 1952, daughter of Toivo Mattias and Rachel Raffaella (Fasano) Anderson. Ruth graduated from Fitchburg High school in 1971. Ruth, who always loved flowers, then attended and graduated from the Rittners School of Floral Design in Boston. Ruth was a florist for over 35 years. She first worked at Ritter for Flowers in Fitchburg and then worked at Richard’s Flower Shop in Leominster. After retiring from the floral business, she worked at the Market Basket on John Fitch Highway.

Ruth leaves her husband Thomas J. Moran Jr., nieces Laura Niles, Rachel Keller, Emily Keller, Katharine Strobel and Eileen Moore. nephews David LaPlant and Michael Keller, cousins, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her brother John Anderson and her sister Lillian Morel.

Ruth, also known as Ruthie, loved spending time with her family and friends as well as her three cats. She was also an avid collector of cat memorabilia. She enjoyed traveling across the United States and to other countries, making friends wherever she went.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A visitation period for Ruth will be held on Thursday, September 15 from 10 A.M. to 11:30 AM at Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom St., Fitchburg followed by a prayer service there.  Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Fitchburg.
