Robert Gebhardt Obituary

Robert J. Gebhardt, 37

Robert John Gebhardt 37 of Fitchburg, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday October 24, 2022. Grandson to William and Nancy Luchford (both now long-deceased), Robbie was a life-long resident of Fitchburg and attended Fitchburg public schools and was an Odyssey of the Minds recipient, attended Montachusett Vocational School, earned his GED and earned recognition on the Dean’s List at Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner for certification of counseling people effected by substance addiction.

Robbie leaves and was very close with his Mom Lynn M. Luchford-Gebhardt of Fitchburg and Sister Sheryl Gebhardt and her boyfriend Eddie Carrion of Massachusetts who Robbie considered a best friend and brother, he leaves another Sister Eva-Rose and his Father John M. Gebhardt and girlfriend Cheryl Smith of Spokane WA,, Uncle Tom Luchford of Fitchburg, Uncle Dave and Aunt Betty Luchford of Templeton, Uncle Art DiFranco of Gardner MA, Aunt Pam and Uncle Peter Green of FL, other Gebhardt Family in Massachusetts, and his many Cousins.  He was most recently predeceased by his Uncle Jim Luchford of Fitchburg who passed in 2018, and his Aunt June DiFranco of Gardner who passed less than 1 year ago in 2021.

Robbie enjoyed music, movies, and gaming, and was outgoing for his way-too-short life, he excelled in and competed in youth sports which earned awards, he played baseball, basketball, and on special days  he enjoyed bowling and talking Sports as Uncle Dave’s Favorite Nephew (don’t tell the others), and he was especially close with his Uncle Jim who practically raised him, who was proud to be known as Robbie’s ‘actual’ Favorite Uncle.  He was mentored by each of his Aunts and Uncles, and often enjoyed debating many topics and loved celebrating special times at the Holidays, and especially Barbecue’s that he was really good at cooking steaks and being the center of the world when ‘he’ was in charge of the grill.

Robbie truly loved his Family and Friends, and he loved to have many conversations with his best friends including his first best friend Michael Benjamin who Robbie also considered his brother throughout his life since childhood.   Anyone who knew him knew his high functioning intelligence and his highspirited good intentions when he was at his best,

May God Bless and Love Robbie and keep him in peace, he certainly has earned it; and may God Bless and Love all of us left behind, and especially his Mom Lynn, as she has earned it too.
