Rachel Nancy (Whitney) Lawrence, 91,  of Fitchburg, formerly of
Ashby, died Wednesday December 31, 2014 at Nashoba Valley
Medical Center in Ayer.
Rachel was born in Ashby,  the daughter of Myron and Lena
(Coleman) Whitney where  she  lived most of her life until
moving to Fitchburg several years ago. She graduated from
Ashby High School. She was a former member of the Rebekah
and the American Legion Auxiliary of Ashby. Rachel was the
Post Master at the Ashby Post Office for thirty four years.

Rachel leaves her daughter, her grandchildren Lawrence Stacy,
Katrina M. Parkhurst and Hans E. Stacy. Also her great
grandchildren Erik, Christian, Kayla and Alexzander and one
great great grandchild Nicholas. Also nieces, nephews and
cousins.

Rachel's husband Frederick H. Lawrence, died in 1948. Her son
Frederick H. Lawrence died in 2004. She was also predeceased
by her sisters, Frances Boyce and Jeanette Lafrenniere.

Following cremation, private graveside services will be held at
Glenwood Cemetery, in Ashby. Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom
