Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather

Michael W. 'Mike' Koutrakos Sr., 88, long time resident of Fitchburg, died at
home Thursday April 2, after an illness with his loving family at his
bedside.
Mike was born in Lowell October 21, 1926, the son of Vasili and Kieraki
(Stathakos) Koutrakos. He graduated from Rogers High School in Newport,
R.I. and Wentworth Institute. He owned and operated businesses in
Newport before moving to Fitchburg in 1965.  He owned and operated
Fitchburg Appliance and Alert Refregiration in Fitchburg. He was a teacher
at Montachusett Regional Vocational High School for several years. He was
also involved in several other businesses as well as serving as Constable
and  Deputy Sheriff .
Mike's wife of over 50 years  Irene (Shanteler) Koutrakos died April 18,
2008. Mike leaves his son  William M. Koutrakos; his daughters, Helen
Lallo, Karen Ann Koutrakos, Pamela M. Devlin and Christina L. Goguen.
Sixteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Mike was
predeceased by his son Michael W. Koutrakos Jr. December 7, 1989, also
two brothers and two sisters died before him.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation period on Monday evening
from 6 to 8 P.M. in the Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom St. Burial will be
private.
