Mark Samuel Huss

Gardner-Mark Samuel Huss, 65 died Thursday October 24th at Bay State Medical Center in Springfield MA. Mark was born in Austin Texas, December 9th, 1953, son of Russel Ilie and Zella Mae Bennet Huss. He was a U.S. Army Veteran with over 16 years in the service. During his time in the active duty component, he was awarded a number of army achievement medals, gained his NCO ribbon, earned an expert badge for the M-16 as well as the expert badge for the hand grenade. After his discharge, he worked for the Military, designing and constructing defensive technologies; which is now used daily by millions of people world wide. He loved building old tube radios and had a passion for reading. Mark will forever be remembered as having a great mind, a jovial personality, and being a great dog lover, adopting many abandoned dogs throughout his life. In fact, it was not uncommon to have a neighborhood dog waiting patiently at his door to great him. Mark leaves his wife Sun Yong Huss, his sons Benjamin M. Huss and David S. Huss. He was predeceased by his brother Russell I. Huss Jr and his sister Nola Huss. A time of remembrance with military honors  will be held on Saturday November 9 from 12 PM to 3 PM at the home of David Huss, 6 Bond St.
