Lloyd J. Johnson, 77, of Ashby, died Wednesday March 6, at St. Vincent
Hospital in Worcester from complications of heart surgery.
Lloyd leaves his wife of ten years, Carole L. (StHilaire) Johnson, his son
and daughter-in-law Kevin L. and Karen Johnson of North Woodstock, N.H.,
His daughters and sons-in-law Sherry V. and Gordon Walker of Gardner
and Sandra A. and Daniel Coponen of Chassell, MI. His sister and brother-
in-law Ann L. and Harold Miller of Fitchburg. Lloyd also leaves his aunt
Blanche Meskauskas of Gardner, eight grandchildren, thirty two great
grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Also he leaves his step-
daughters Paula J. English and husband Kenneth of Pepperell and Tracy L.
Snow of Cambridge and two step-grandchildren. Lloyd was predeceased
by his first wife Joan E. (Wheeler) Johnson who died May 28, 1995.
Lloyd was born in Fitchburg, June 17, 1935, the son of John W. and Lillian
E. (Duquette) Johnson. He graduated fro Fitchburg High School in 1954. He
has lived in Ashby since 1965.
Lloyd was employed for twenty years as delivery driver for the former City
Cleaners. Previously, we worked for many years at the former W.T. Grant
Co. Lloyd was an avid sportsman and loved any outdoor activity.
He was a member of the Fitchburg Rod & Gun Club, the Fitchburg
Sportsmen's Club, and the National Rifleman's Association. He was a
member of St.Bernard Parish at St. Camillus Church. Lloyd served eight
years in the Massachusetts National Guard.
A funeral Mass for Lloyd will be celebrated on Wednesday March13 at
11:00 A.M. in St. Bernard- St. Camillus Church 333 Mechanic St. Burial will
follow in St. Bernard Cemetery. A calling hour will be from 9:30A.M. to
10:30 A.M. on Wednesday morning in the Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom
