Jose "Lilo" Fernandez, 52

Jose "Lilo" Fernandez, 52, died unexpectedly at home on Friday March 11.  Lilo
was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, son of Julio Diaz Fernandez and Elva Montero.
He graduated from high school in Puerto Rico and came to Fitchburg twenty years
ago. Lilo was employed at Advanced Auto Parts. He was very mechanically inclined
and loved everything about cars. He was a very active member, musician  and usher
of the New Life Spanish Christian Church. He was a very loving and caring person
and will be missed by all who knew him.
Besides his mother, Lilo leaves his son Julio Diaz of Bronx, N.Y. his brother Edgar
Diaz of Fitchburg and his sister Mariella Diaz with whom he lived.
Visitation and funeral services for Lilo will be held on Saturday March 26,
beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the New Life Spanish Christian Church 63 Fairmont St
