Joycelyn (Elsie) Harding, was born October 11, 1938 on the beautiful island of Trinidad where she lived most of her life. She later migrated to the USA to be with her daughters. Sadly, on Saturday December 4, 2021 she departed this life to be with her Heavenly Father.
On July 11, 1960, Joycelyn and Donald first met and later got married in 1975. They lived together in Trinidad for sixty-one years. Elise lived a fulfilling life as a mother. She is survived by her husband Donald Harding and four children: Tyrone Harding of Fort Erie Canada, Brian Harding of New York City, Lynette Hinds of Atlanta and Annette Saddler of Fitchburg Mass. Mother-in-law to Sandra, Phillip, Rosemarie and Andy. Grandmother to Jonathan, Tonya, Joshua, Stefan, Shane, Tiffany, Renee, Kobe and Jenelle, and Great grandmother to Colvin and J’Seem
Elise was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She was a great cook who loved cooking for her family and friends whenever they stop for a visit or stop in for a short stay. Her favorite quote to Donald was either, “ah go cuff yuh in yuh mouth yuh know”, or
“shut yuh mouth nah boy.” She never laid a hand on her children whenever they did something wrong but threaten them with words like, “wait till your father come home.” She never missed going to horse racing in her younger days and was very proud of her two boys Tyrone and Brian who were jockeys. She had a special relationship with her girls and never a day was missed without talking to them, sometimes multiple times a day.
She will truly be missed by all.
