Jean Ann (Knowles) Smith

Jean Ann Smith (Knowles) formally of Leominster, Lancaster and Clinton; age 93 died January 31, 2021, after an illness. She was a devoted wife (to Kenneth H. Smith who predeceased her), mother, grandmother, great grandmother and mother-in-law. Jean was born in Camden, Maine, April 24, 1927, the daughter of Edgar and Sophie Knowles. She leaves seven children; Brenda Lieberman and her husband Murray, Mary Smith, Karen Hanney and her husband John, Donna Cousens and her husband Wayne, Carolyn Holden and her husband Kenny, Shawn Smith and his wife Naomi, Gloria Lupoli and her husband Eric, 9 grandchildren; Rochelle Hanney, Corrinne Gamash and her husband Jay, Jennifer Chiurri and her husband Mark, Anthony Valera, Andrew Valera and his wife Alli, Brian and Jennifer Lieberman, Larry Fahey and Brandon Smith, 4 great grandchildren; Nickolas and Nathan Acker and Clifton and Lincoln Chiurri. Jean was a member of the Sterling Seventh Day Adventist Church.

The family would like to thank the staff and friends at the Oakdale Rehab & Nursing Facility in West Boylston for the wonderful care given to Jean. We can’t thank you enough for all that you did to make her last few years happy and fulfilling.

There will be a private graveside service at the Eastwood Cemetery, Old Common Road, Lancaster, Ma 01523. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions for burial expenses may be made to Carolyn Holden, 2500 Main Street, Lancaster, Ma 01523
