Janet R. Skehan. 89

Mother, Grandmother

Janet R. (Dufault) Skehan, 89,  died Sunday July 13, at home after an
extended illness.
Janet leaves her sons and daughters-in-law Donald B. Skehan and Dolly of
Surprise, AZ. Kevin J. Skehan and Mary Beth of Columbus, OH. and David
A. Skehan of Swedesboro, NJ. Her daughter Sandra M. Skehan of Maine
and her grandchildren Timothy and Pamela Skehan in Ohio.. Also close
friends Jinny Chalifoux, who moved to Florida and still kept in touch with,
Paula Sumner and Kathy Egan who were frequent lunch dates for her.

Janet loved nature: the birds, flowers, trees, the stars and the moon. Janet
enjoyed Christmas and spending it with Dave in NJ. with friends Ed and
Joanne Shinn.

Janet's husband of 22 years passed away on May 1, 1969. She was also
predeceased by her sisters Caroline A. Powell and Nathalie Chevrette.
Janet was born in Fitchburg September 20, 1924, daughter of Arthur and
Dora (LaRose) Dufault. She graduated from St. Bernard Central Catholic
High School in 1942.  She had been employed for 23 years in Social
Services at the former Burbank Hospital. She retired August 31, 1989.

A special note of thanks is extended to the members of the "French
Connection" Rosella Ouelette, Charlene Frades, Bea Everett, Pat Swett,
Noelle Hyde, Laura Scott-Cann and Christine Desmarais for their caring
and devoted service and attention to Janet  during her extended illness.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation period on Wednesday July
16, from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. in the Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom St.
Fitchburg followed by a Funeral Mass at St Denis Church 85 Main St,
at 11:00 A.M.in Ashburnham.Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery,
Fitchburg.Contributions  may be made in her name to the Macular Degeneration
Research Foundation 22512 Gateway Center Drive Clarksburg, MD. 20871
