Jan G. Mylott, 79, of Palm Harbor, FL, left this life on June 11 after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Although memory and words failed her, her wonderful sense of humor remained with her to the end.

Jan loved life. She loved dancing, eating good food, the ocean, and good conversation. Her smile was contagious and wit was sharp. She was devoted to her family and loved them as much as they loved her. She graduated from Fitchburg High and later went to Lowell State College, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.  She taught elementary school in Chelmsford, MA for many years before retiring to Florida to tend her garden.

Jan leaves a husband Jerome Boyd, three children, Sherrill Batson, Jon Holland, Stephen Holland and their spouses, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She also leaves a brother Daniel H. Mylott and a sister Kathleen Bienvenue. She was predeceased by her son James David Holland and her parents Daniel T. and Dorothy (Geiger) Mylott. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her

.Family and friends are invited to assemble at the Bosk Funeral Home, 85
Blossom St., Fitchburg, MA on July 25 at 10:00 A.M. A procession will follow to Forest Hill
Cemetery for a graveside service. A gathering will be held after the service for continued sharing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association128 Providence St. Worcester, Ma. 01604.
