James S. Walcott, 87

James S. Walcott, 87, died Monday August 17, at the Golden Living Center
after an illness.
James was born in Ashburnham, son of Edmund S. and Grace (Isabelle)
Walcott. He lived in the Fitchburg and Ashburnham area all his life and
attended local schools.  James had worked as a gas station attendentand
later also worked in nursing home maintanance departments.  He was a
U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War.

James' wife Roberta T. (Rowell) Walcott, died October 19, 1911. He leaves
his step-son, Michael Rowell of Fitchburg and numerous nieces and
nephews.

A visitation period will be held on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M.
in the Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom St. followed by a service with
military honors at 11:00 A.M. at the Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery 111
