Jackson Dwight Brigham, 94, of Fitchburg died Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Fitchburg Healthcare of Fitchburg. 'Jack" was born in Fitchburg, August 9, 1926, son of Ulysses A. and Blanche M. (Newell) Brigham. He grew up in Fitchburg, attended local schools and Yale University and employed at Norton Abrasives in Worcester, MA. Jack was a US Navy veteran of World War II serving from 1944 to 1946. He was a member of Rollstone Congregational Church and also a member of the Johnny Appleseed Choir for several years and performed at Rest Homes and Assisted Living facilities.
Jack leaves his son Scott and wife Kim Brigham of Washington State, several nieces and nephews and one grandson Ian Brigham. He also leaves very dear friends and primary care givers Wayne and Diane Cote of New Ipswich, NH. Also very dear friends Brenda Burpee of Lunenburg and Lindsey Landry of Fitchburg.
Jackson was predeceased by his first wife Madeline (Pearson) Brigham, and second wife Edith (Jenkins) Brigham. He was also predeceased by a dear and long time friend of 25 years Ottilie Burpee who passed July 27, 2020. Jack's youngest son Chris Brigham died in 1977. Four brothers also predeceased him.
A visitation period will be held on Friday June 25 from 2 to 4pm with a service at 4 pm in the Bosk Funeral Home, 85 Blossom Street, Fitchburg. Following cremation a burial will take place at a later date in Forest Hill Cemetary, Fitchburg.
