Gregory R. Burke, 82
Air Force Veteran, Korean War

Gregory R. Burke, 82, died Saturday August 3, at Keystone Center in
Leominster.
Greg was born in Groton, Ma. July 3, 1931, the son of Roger L. Sr. and Mary
(O'Brien) Burke.  He graduated from Townsend High School in 1949 where
he played baseball and basketball.  He played semi-pro baseball with the
former Washington Senators. He was an enthsiastic fisherman  and he
enjoyed playing guitar and had a local band called the Wachusett
Mountaineers.

Greg was a stationary fireman and was employed for 30 years at the
Hollingsworth and Vose Co. in Groton retiring in 1996.. He was a U.S.Air
Force veteran serving during the Korea War era.

Gregory leaves his sister and brother-in-law Jennie A. and husband
Richard Dicker of Fitchburg. Several cousins, nieces and nephews, and a
very dear friend Marion Wood.  He was predeceased  by  brothers Philip  in
1949 and Roger L.  Jr.  March 13, 1998 and his sisters Claire Burke in 1956
and Arlene R. Burke  August 23, 2001.

Funeral services and burial will be private. Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom
St. is assisting the family.
