Ellie Koski Jansson, 98

WESTMINSTER - Ellie Jansson passed away December 26, 2012
at the Highlands Long Term Care Center.  We extend grateful
appreciation to the staff for the 21/2 years of care she was given.
She was born April 30, 1914 in Fitchburg to Finnish immigrants
Pekka and Adolfiina (Kiiskila) Koski.

Ellie was predeceased in 1999 by her merchant marine husband
Armas Jansson whom she married in 1945. While her husband
sailed the seven seas, Ellie, an accomplished oil and pastel artist,
created still-lifes, landscapes and portraits, many of which are of
her family members.  In addition to her great interest in painting,
aunt Ellie enjoyed reading books and maintaining a picturesque
garden at their home in Westminster.

Ellie leaves 5 nieces M.June Flinkstrom, Amy Engman, Helen
Paajanen, Katy Heiniluoma, Vicky Engman, and 2 nephews
Peter Linnus and John W. Johnson.  Her brother Waino Koski
and sisters Vieno Linnus and Anne Johnson predeceased her,
as well as 2 nephews Raymond Linnus and Richard Johnson,
and 1 niece Carol Johnson Comeau.

At her request, no services are planned.  A private memorial
service will be held at a later date.  Bosk Funeral Home, 85
Blossom Street, Fitchburg, MA is assisting the family.
