Elaine was born in Peterborough, NH February 15, 1945, daughter of Gerard and Blanche Louise (StPeter) Frenette. She grew up in Gardner and graduated from Gardner high school.

Elaine was a stay-at-home mom raising her sons, considered a 2nd mother to many, Meme Waldo to others, the “neighborhood mom” of Elm Street so-to-speak.  She enjoyed reading, baking cookies, decorating her home for all holidays, playing cards, the game show network and everyone knew not to call the house during Jeopardy.  She was a long-time member, reader and greeter of the New Beginnings Methodist church in Townsend and hosted bible study in her home for over 20 years.   Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her sisters and family, sharing joy and laughter to all that knew and loved her.

Elaine leaves her sons and daughters-in-law John R. Hamel and wife Roberta , James R. Hamel and wife Kathleen, both of Pepperell and Michael A. Hamel and wife Janice of Baldwinville. Her brothers Robert Frenette of Havasu, AZ, Damien Austin of Ukraine, and Ed Frenette of Locanto, FL.  Also, her sisters, Jacqueline St Jean of Gardner, Linda Mercier of Spring Hill, FL Connie White of Pinellas Park, FL and Sandy Fredette of Gardner. Ten grandchildren, Shannon, Rachael, Stephanie, Mark, Steve, Kristen, Allison, Erik, Hailey & Raeleigh, along with twenty seven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.  Elaine also leaves her beloved companion of the last 8 years Larry Sainterre of Fitchburg.  She was predeceased by her husband Richard Aho, her brother Bernard Frenette and her sister Lucille Wilbur.
