Dorothy E. (Beaulac) Ellis, 78, died Thursday August 8, at Emerson
Hospital in Concord, Ma. after a lengthly period of ill health.
Dorothy was born in Fitchburg April 7, 1935 and lived in Fitchburg an
Leominster area most of her life. She graduated from St'Joseph Primary
school and from St. Bernard Central Catholic High School. She was
employed in the Administration office of the former National Perforating
Co. in Clinton until its closing. She was a loving, caring mother. She had
many interests including Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and devoted many years
as a Kingsman Durm & Bugle Corps Volunteer and chaperone. Dorothy
was an avid cook; she loved to read and collect books and play Bingo.
She became known as the Matriach of her family and opened her home to
many in need over the years. She was a member of St. Bernard Parish at
St. Camillus Church.
Dorothy leaves her son, Scott Ellis of Townsend, her daughters, Kathleen
E. "Kathy" Bygrave of Leominster, Virginia "Ginger" Ellis of Acton and Gail
Ellis of Acton with whom she had been living. She also leaves her sister
Rose Malone of Leominster, her best friend and sister-in-law Pamela
Beaulac of Fitchburg. Also her grandchildren, Nicole, Alicia, Kristen Ellis.
Benjamin and Elizabeth Sicard; Justin, Megan Krista Ellis and Keith Haake.
Ten Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews,
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Maurice C. "Moe" Ellis in 1982,
her son David in 2002 and her daughter Diane D. Haake in 2008. Her
brothers William and Robert Beaulac also predeceased her.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday August 12, at 10:00 A.M. at St.
Bernard-St. Camillus Church 333 Mechanic St. Burial will follow in St.
Bernard Cemetery. Calling hours in the Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom
