Christopher "Chris" James Watkins, 58, passed away peacefully, at home,
Monday evening with his loving family at his bedside after a brief illness.
Chris was born in Fitchburg, son of William W. and the late Lorraine
(Shepard) Watkins. He graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1976.
Chris worked as a machine operator in many industries, lastly in food
products.
Chris was a diehard Patriots fan and also loved the Red Sox. He was a fan
of Star Trek and especially loved fishing.
Beside his father, Chris leaves his wife of thirty three years Barbara J.
(Wilson) Watkins, his son and daughter-in-law Christopher J. Jr.and Sarah
of Gardner; his daughter and son-in-law Diana M, Watkins and Brandon of
Phillipston. Also his sister and brother-in-law Amy and Paul Smart of
Winchendon  and sister Linda Marlborough of Leominster. His
grandaughter Logan Ellen Watkins, and several loving pets. Many Nieces
and Nephews. His brother Francis predeceased him.
Relatives and friends are invted to join in a celebration of Chris's life on
Monday October 5 from 4 to 6 P.M. in the Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom
St. Fitchburg. Contributions in Chris's memory may be made to  Beacon
Hospice 36 Williams St. Leominster, Ma. 01453, who provided excellent and
compassionate care to Chris and the family in their most trying times.
