Christopher “Christos” James Avery, 47 died peacefully on October 30 after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his parents David J. and Emily Assimakopoulos Avery, three daughters Lily, Jadyn, and Angelina Avery, a brother Joshua Avery and his wife Erica, and their three children Garreth, Robert and Grace. In addition Christos leaves behind his loving Yia Yia Ethel Assimakopoulos, several aunts, uncles, cousins and many beloved friends. Christos was a devout Christian. Christos treasured his faith in the Lord. He loved going on mission trips and fully participated in his Christian walk. Christos was a proud single father who cherished his girls and every minute was spent devoting himself to them. His other passion was for all New England sports and he was a proud season ticket holder to his beloved Patriots. His other interests included several yearly trips to Disney with the girls. Christos thoroughly enjoyed bartending at Unos where he made many lasting friendships. The family is grateful for all the support during his battle with cancer. A celebration of life will be with his church family at the Crossroads Community Church at 839 Ashby State Road, Fitchburg November 10, 2018 at 10 am.
