Christine I Page, 84
Christine I. "Chris" (Sabal) Page, 84 died Monday September 16, at the
Keystone Center, in Leominster after an illness.
Chris was born in Abbington, Ma. August 21, 1929 to Fred and Cora D.
(Tripp) Saball. She had lived in Fitchburg most of her life.
For many years, Chris was employed by the Fitchburg Police Department
as one of the early school crossing guards. Chris and her late husband
Frank were members of the Montachusett Twirlers Square Dancing Club
for many years.
Chris was the first woman member of the Fitchburg Lions Club and was
instrumental in organizing and was a Charter Member of the Lunenburg
Turkey Hill Family Lions Club. She was recipient of the Joseph J. Camarda
Fellowship Award for dedicated humanitarian service to her community.
Along with her husband Frank , she was active in Lions Club projects
across Massachusetts.
Chris leaves her daughter Diane M. Page with whom she lived, her brothers
and sisters-in-law George and Helen Sabal and James and Linda Sabal.
She also leaves her sisters and brothers-in-law Rita Morrissey and Martin
and Della Breault and Victor. Grandchildren Jessica Beaudoin and
Shannon Waska. Great grandchildren Amy and Zachary Beaudoin.
Chritine's husband of 60 years died April 19, 2012, her son Frank Page Jr.
died December 8, 1995.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation period Tuesday September
17, from 6 to 8 P.M. in the Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom St.
