Russell W. Walker, 67

Russell W. Walker, 67, passed away with his family by his side. Russell was born in Marlington, West Virginia on September 9, 1950, Son of Moses Winston and Lucy Mae Winston. He had been a resident of Fitchburg until moving to Winchendon 17 years ago. Russell  was a crane operator at Fitchburg Foundry  and retired in 1989.
Russell leaves his wife of 47 years Joanne (Valcourt) Walker, his sons Ronald Walker in Florida and Shane Walker in Fitchburg. Russell Walker Jr predeceased in 2011. Also his daughters  and son-in-laws Billie-Jo and Luis Alvarado of Fitchburg, Jaclyn  and Elliot Rivera of Winchendon.

Russell also raised 2 other  boys, Matthew and Kevin Baldwin. Russell also leaves his brothers Norman Walker in West. Va. and Moses Winston of Fitchburg. His sisters Norma Baldwin of Fitchburg and Mable Winston of Westminster, 10 Grandchildren  2 great granddaughters and one great grandson Jay’mani Luis. Many nieces and nephews.
Russell coached Little League baseball and Pop Warner football. He was a true out doorsman   who loved camping in Vermont and yard work at home.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday February 20 from 6 to 9 P.M. in the Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom St .Fitchburg. Funeral services will be  held on Wednesday at 11 A.M. followed by burial in Forest Hill Cemetery.
