Richard M. Wilson, 78 former long time resident of Ashby, died Sunday December 17, at Fitchburg Health Center after an illness. Richard was born in Fichburg August 3, 1939. He lived in Ashby for over 30 years. He was employed as a custodian in the Pepperell School system. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1961. He loved flea marketing and spent many years at Rietta Ranch in Hubbardston and was considered expert in recognizing valuable merchandise and antiques.
Richard's wife Theresa (Kuriger) Wilson died in December 1998. He leaves his son and daughter-in-law John Wilson and wife Barbara of Fitchburg, daughter and son-in-law Lisa A Girouard and husband Marcel. of Leominster. His  sister Louise Egan of Centerville, his brother-in-law Frederick Kuriger and wife Christine. Also grandchildren Felicia A. Wilson, Emily Sakounmoung and her husband Brandon and Kyle Wilson. Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Clayton Wilson, brother-in-law Robert Egan, and sister-in-law Judith Wilson.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation time from 4 to 6 P.M. on Wednesday December 20 in the Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom St., followed by a service with military honors at 6 P.M. Burial will follow at New Cemetery in the spring. boskfuneralhome.com
